Larger, double blooms with a classic colour combination. Featuring the occasional Bicolour, this Carnation mix is a classic favourite for a spot of thick colour is any garden.

  • Large, mainly double blooms, long stmes.
  • Sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow 0.5cm (1/4") deep, in trays of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 20-25oC (68-77oF) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2") apart to other trays when large enough to handle. (Always handle by a leaf, never by a stem) Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 25cm (10") apart, when frosts are over.
  • Ideal soil type: Well drained, fertile

  • Remove dead flowers to prolong flowering. For cutting, pick when buds have opened and are showing colour.

  • In normal circumstances, we aim to deliver items marked standard delivery (smaller parcels) within 5-7 working days for orders placed before 11am Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
  • Orders are sent via a DPD Next Day service. On the morning of the day of delivery you will receive a 1-hour delivery window via email or text.
  • Orders containing "pre-orders" will be despatched when the order is complete.
  • Pre-order delivery dates are estimated, and are therefore subject to change.
  • Highlands & Islands delivery available with surcharge calculated at checkout. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to Northern Ireland.
  • If standard items are ordered with larger items marked 2 Man or Pallet Delivery, the items will be combined with that delivery method.
  • Please note that plants are not despatched on Fridays.

  • Larger items, including garden furniture, will be delivered via our pallet courier. We offer this pallet courier service to UK mainland addresses from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
  • For products held in stock we aim to deliver within 7-10 working days of your order, provided we are able to contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day.
  • Please ensure you provide a telephone number and email address to enable our courier to contact you and avoid a delay.
  • Deliveries will be made on pallets, this is to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition.
  • Unfortunately the delivery company will be unable to remove items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them and delivery will be made to the kerbside.
  • Please note that your order may be delivered on a very large vehicle, up to 18T and good access will be required. If you are unsure whether a large vehicle can access your address, please contact us BEFORE placing your order.
